I'm helping organise the Student Learning and Teaching Network (SLTN)'s Annual Conference and we're sending out our invitation to register from today.
The conference is called "9,000 Ways to Engage" and will be focusing on the diversity of initiatives, projects and opportunities that students can get involved in during their time at University.
With the fees rise on the horizon, the SLTN want to continue promoting a positive attitude to getting involved in Learning and Teaching, and encouraging students to creatively engage with their Institution instead of conceding to the increasingly 'consumer' stance.
28th of February, 9.30am - 4pm at Birmingham City University, City North Campus
I think it would be right up the street of those in RAISE to come along and bring some students with you - it's only £10 to attend as we really want to get students to come along to the event as well as Academic Practitioners. The full timetable for the day will be released soon, but we're quite excited for our afternoon of 'round-table' discussion - a chance for people to discuss what's on their agenda with like-minded people in the room. It looks to be a very fruitful afternoon!
Please consider coming along and what students would benefit from the chance to be inspired by practice from across the UK.
Visit The Events Page for more details and to register.
Thanks! Hope to see some of you there.
